The Clovis High School Wildcat Band
Clovis Wildcat Bands have received consistent Sweepstakes awards in the categories of Marching, Concert, and Sight-Reading for the past forty years.
The Clovis Wildcat Marching Band has won the Zia Marching Fiesta Competition nine times and is the only band to make the finals competition every year since 1980.
Through the years, the band has earned a national reputation for excellence in marching and concert performance, having won numerous first-place trophies and awards in competitions throughout New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Maryland, New York, Illinois, and California.
In December of 1969, the Clovis High School Wildcat Band was one of five from throughout the United States to perform for the National Midwest Band Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. In 1983, 1989, 1993, 1999, and 2005 the Band performed for the New Mexico Music Educators State Convention in Albuquerque as the recipient of the New Mexico Honor Band Award.
Since 1963, Clovis High School Concert Bands have been selected "Outstanding Band" in their class thirty times at major music festivals throughout the southwest. These festivals include:

The Clovis High School Wildcat Marching Band has a long history of success. In 1963 and 1975 the Wildcat Band performed at halftime for the Los Angeles Rams for an audience of 85,000 fans.
